With tutor Michael Richmond-Coggan, ESOL students learned how to use laptops to write lyrics and perform songs. This was a 12 week non-accredited course in partnership with Future Arts where they produced a final video and DVD. The students wrote the lyrics about culture and immigration, performed the song and called their group: GlobalEyes. Click here to read more about this project.

With tutor Stephen Woulds, ESOL students design websites and protest images on issues that are important to them. As one student said: "With images I can say what I can't say with words."

Koroush: "To show there is no Human Rights for women in Iran and they are unequal."

Magda: "Woman is coloured green means she is jealous about man position. Man is on the ladder and is going up to get the possession of the money. He is in a powerful position. The money is red means is giving power."

Trang: "Boys think they are men cos they smoke and drink. They are not."

And ESOL students with their own websites. Alizadhe's bilingual website: "I want to design space where all people can come and get information."

With tutor Jennie Cole, ESOL students learn about photography and are entered into a competition. All ESOL students are encouraged to vote for their favourite photograph.
